    <title>Exodus 15</title>
    <link>http://read.thepositiveword.com/quote.php?portion=1&amp;ver=BBE&amp;day=07&amp;month=02&amp;close=none</link>
    <description>15:1 Then Moses and the children of Israel made this song to the Lord, and said, I will make a song to the Lord, for he is lifted up in glory: the horse and the horseman he has sent down into the sea.
15:2 The Lord is my strength and my strong helper, he has become my salvation: he is my God and I will give him praise; my father's God and I will give him glory.
15:3 The Lord is a man of war: the Lord is his name.
15:4 Pharaoh's war-carriages and his army he has sent down into the sea: the best of his captains have gone down into the Red Sea.
15:5 They were covered by the deep waters: like a stone they went down under the waves.
15:6 Full of glory, O Lord, is the power of your right hand; by your right hand those who came against you are broken.
15:7 When you are lifted up in power, all those who come against you are crushed: when you send out your wrath, they are burned up like dry grass.
15:8 By your breath the waves were massed together, the flowing waters were lifted up like a pillar; the deep waters became solid in the heart of the sea.
15:9 Egypt said, I will go after them, I will overtake, I will make division of their goods: my desire will have its way with them; my sword will be uncovered, my hand will send destruction on them.
15:10 You sent your wind and the sea came over them: they went down like lead into the great waters.
15:11 Who is like you, O Lord, among the gods? who is like you, in holy glory, to be praised with fear, doing wonders?
15:12 When your right hand was stretched out, the mouth of the earth was open for them.
15:13 In your mercy you went before the people whom you have made yours; guiding them in your strength to your holy place.
15:14 Hearing of you the peoples were shaking in fear: the people of Philistia were gripped with pain.
15:15 The chiefs of Edom were troubled in heart; the strong men of Moab were in the grip of fear: all the people of Canaan became like water.
15:16 Fear and grief came on them; by the strength of your arm they were turned to stone; till your people went over, O Lord, till the people went over whom you have made yours.
15:17 You will take them in, planting them in the mountain of your heritage, the place, O Lord, where you have made your house, the holy place, O Lord, the building of your hands.
15:18 The Lord is King for ever and ever.
15:19 For the horses of Pharaoh, with his war-carriages and his horsemen, went into the sea, and the Lord sent the waters of the sea back over them; but the children of Israel went through the sea on dry land.
15:20 And Miriam, the woman prophet, the sister of Aaron, took an instrument of music in her hand; and all the women went after her with music and dances.
15:21 And Miriam, answering, said, Make a song to the Lord, for he is lifted up in glory; the horse and the horseman he has sent into the sea.
15:22 Then Moses took Israel forward from the Red Sea, and they went out into the waste land of Shur; and for three days they were in the waste land where there was no water.
15:23 And when they came to Marah, the water was no good for drinking, for the waters of Marah were bitter, which is why it was named Marah.
15:24 And the people, crying out against Moses, said, What are we to have for drink?
15:25  And in answer to his prayer, the Lord made him see a tree, and when he put it into the water, the water was made sweet. There he gave them a law and an order, testing them;
15:26 And he said, If with all your heart you will give attention to the voice of the Lord your God, and do what is right in his eyes, giving ear to his orders and keeping his laws, I will not put on you any of the diseases which I put on the Egyptians: for I am the Lord your life-giver.
15:27 And they came to Elim where there were twelve water-springs and seventy palm-trees: and they put up their tents there by the waters.

    <title>Psalms 69</title>
    <link>http://read.thepositiveword.com/quote.php?portion=2&amp;ver=BBE&amp;day=07&amp;month=02&amp;close=none</link>
    <description>69:1 &amp;lt;To the chief music-maker; put to Shoshannim. Of David.&amp;gt; Be my saviour, O God; because the waters have come in, even to my neck.
69:2 My feet are deep in the soft earth, where there is no support; I have come into deep waters, the waves are flowing over me.
69:3 I am tired with my crying; my throat is burning: my eyes are wasted with waiting for my God.
69:4 Those who have hate for me without cause are greater in number than the hairs of my head; those who are against me, falsely desiring my destruction, are very strong; I gave back what I had not taken away.
69:5 O God, you see how foolish I am; and my wrongdoing is clear to you.
69:6 Let not those who have hope in you be put to shame because of me, O Lord God of armies: let not those who are waiting for you be made low because of me, O God of Israel.
69:7 I have been wounded with sharp words because of you; my face has been covered with shame.
69:8 I have become strange to my brothers, and like a man from a far country to my mother's children.
69:9 I am on fire with passion for your house; and the hard things which are said about you have come on me.
69:10 My bitter weeping, and my going without food, were turned to my shame.
69:11 When I put on the clothing of grief, they said evil of me.
69:12 I am a cause of wonder to those in authority; a song to those who are given to strong drink.
69:13 But as for me, let my prayer be made to you, O Lord, at a time when you are pleased; O God, give me an answer in your great mercy, for your salvation is certain.
69:14 Take me from the grip of the sticky earth, so that I may not go down into it; let me be lifted up from the deep waters.
69:15 Let me not be covered by the flowing waters; let not the deep waters go over my head, and let me not be shut up in the underworld.
69:16 Give an answer to my words, O Lord; for your mercy is good: be turned to me, because of your great pity.
69:17 Let not your face be covered from your servant, for I am in trouble; quickly give me an answer.
69:18 Come near to my soul, for its salvation: be my saviour, because of those who are against me.
69:19 You have seen my shame, how I was laughed at and made low; my haters are all before you.
69:20 My heart is broken by bitter words, I am full of grief; I made a search for some to have pity on me, but there was no one; I had no comforter.
69:21 They gave me poison for my food; and bitter wine for my drink.
69:22 Let their table before them be for their destruction; let their feasts become a net to take them.
69:23 Let their eyes be blind so that they may not see; let their bodies for ever be shaking.
69:24 Let your curse come on them; let the heat of your wrath overtake them.
69:25 Give their houses to destruction, and let there be no one in their tents.
69:26 Because they are cruel to him against whom your hand is turned; they make bitter the grief of him who is wounded by you.
69:27 Let their punishment be increased; let them not come into your righteousness.
69:28 Let their names be taken from the book of the living, let them not be numbered with the upright.
69:29 But I am poor and full of sorrow; let me be lifted up by your salvation, O Lord.
69:30 I will give praise to the name of God with a song; I will give glory to him for what he has done.
69:31 This will be more pleasing to the Lord than an ox, or a young ox of full growth.
69:32 The poor will see it and be glad: you who are lovers of God, let your hearts have life.
69:33 For the ears of the Lord are open to the poor, and he takes thought for his prisoners.
69:34 Let the heavens and the earth give praise to him, the seas, and everything moving in them.
69:35 For God will be the saviour of Zion, and the builder of the towns of Judah; so that it may be their resting-place and heritage.
69:36 The seed of his servants will have their part in it, and there the lovers of his name will have rest.

    <title>Mark 3</title>
    <link>http://read.thepositiveword.com/quote.php?portion=3&amp;ver=BBE&amp;day=07&amp;month=02&amp;close=none</link>
    <description>3:1 And he went again into the Synagogue; and there was a man there whose hand was dead.
3:2 And they were watching him to see if he would make him well on the Sabbath day, so that they might have something against him.
3:3 And he said to the man, Get up and come forward.
3:4 And he said to them, Is it right to do good on the Sabbath or to do evil? to give life or to put to death? But they said nothing.
3:5 And looking round on them he was angry, being sad because of their hard hearts; and he said to the man, Put out your hand. And he put it out, and his hand was made well.
3:6 And the Pharisees went out, and straight away made designs with the Herodians about how they might put him to death.
3:7 And Jesus went away with his disciples to the sea, and a great number from Galilee came after him: and from Judaea,
3:8 And from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and the other side of Jordan, and the country about Tyre and Sidon, a great number, hearing what great things he did, came to him.
3:9  And he made a request to his disciples to have a little boat ready for him, so that he might not be crushed by the people;
3:10 For he had made such a great number well that all those who were diseased were falling down before him for the purpose of touching him.
3:11 And the unclean spirits, whenever they saw him, went down before him, crying out, and saying, You are the Son of God.
3:12 And he gave them special orders not to say who he was.
3:13 And he went up into the mountain, and sent for those whom it was his pleasure to have with him: and they went to him.
3:14 And he took twelve to be with him, so that he might send them out as preachers,
3:15 And give them the power of driving out evil spirits:
3:16  To Simon he gave the second name of Peter;
3:17 And to James, the son of Zebedee, and John, the brother of James, he gave the second name of Boanerges, which is, Sons of thunder:
3:18  And Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James, the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Zealot;
3:19 And Judas Iscariot, who was false to him.
3:20 And he went into a house. And the people came together again, so that they were not even able to take bread.
3:21 And when his friends had news of it, they went out to get him, saying, He is off his head.
3:22 And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem, said, He has Beelzebub, and, By the ruler of evil spirits he sends evil spirits out of men.
3:23 And turning to them, he said to them in the form of a story, How is it possible for Satan to put out Satan?
3:24  If there is division in a kingdom, that kingdom will come to destruction;
3:25  And if there is division in a house, that house will come to destruction;
3:26 And if Satan is at war with himself, and there is division in him, he will not keep his place but will come to an end.
3:27 But no one is able to go into the house of the strong man and take his goods, without first putting cords round the strong man, and then he will take his goods.
3:28 Truly, I say to you, The sons of men will have forgiveness for all their sins and for all the evil words they say:
3:29 But whoever says evil things against the Holy Spirit will never have forgiveness, but the evil he has done will be with him for ever:
3:30 Because they said, He has an unclean spirit.
3:31 And his mother and brothers came and were outside, and sent for him, requesting to see him.
3:32 And a great number were seated round him; and they said to him, See, your mother and your brothers are outside looking for you.
3:33 And he said in answer, Who are my mother and my brothers?
3:34 And looking round at those who were seated about him, he said, See, my mother and my brothers!
3:35 Whoever does God's pleasure, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
