The reference is at the top, then above and below the scripture is a tool bar.  Here you can select which bible version you want to read the passage in.  If you are looking at a verse within a chapter, then you can click on the 'context' button to see the whole chapter.  If you are looking at a whole chapter, then you can click on the 'previous' and 'next' buttons to navigate the chapters.

Some versions support footnotes and strongs numbers. Toggle buttons for these will be displayed if these features are available for the version of the text you are currently viewing.  If you click on 'footnotes' this will toggle the footnotes on and off, if you click on 'strongs' this will toggle the Strongs numbers on and off.  When Strongs numbers are displayed, you can click on the number to display the definition of the word(s) to the left of the index number.  The definition is displayed in the Word Definition area.

You can set if the strongs numbers and footnotes are on or off by defualt by going to preferences

Each verse starts with the chapter:verse number.  If you click on this number a list of cross references to the verse will be displayed in the References area.
